Mrs. WillhoiteBorn and raised Oklahoman, I graduated high school from Edmond North in 1995. The next three years I spent at OU persuing a degree in physical therapy. After several internships at Norman Regional, Children's Hospital, and the JD McCarty Center, I decided I would be better served in a less heart-wrenching field. By this time I had married and was expecting child number one. Three children and several years later, I graudated from UCO with a degree in Biology Education. I began my teaching career in Edmond at Santa Fe High teaching Botany and Zoology to upper level students. From there I happily took a position at Guthrie to work with my mentor where I taught Biology II and Zoology. I then moved to Bethany High School and am in my fourth year here. I have loved every minute of teaching ninth grade Biology, something I swore I would never do. :)

I live in very north Edmond, driving 30 minutes every morning to get here, and it has been worth every minute on the road. My three children attend Oakdale where my husband is a Speech-Language Pathologist. As a family, we share a passion for travel, especially on the Great American Highway. Most summers we hit more than 6 states and we're working on getting to all 50 before my oldest son graduates! I love to read, love to spend time with my sister, sister-in-law and mom, I love bowling (on a league - what a nerd!), love NFL, golfing (playing, not watching- yawn!), love being outside in the summer and watching the snow from my recliner in the winter.
In December of 2012 I will graduate with a Masters in Administration from UCO. I intend to be a principal someday, and then probably a superintendent, but not for several years. Until then, I remain faithfully, your child's Biology teacher. Thanks for putting them in my hands! |
